Jeff Swain has 23 years of experience as a Parker County prosecutor, achieving justice for victims of crime in our county. For the past 21 years, he has served as an Assistant District Attorney handling felony cases in the very office he is now ready to lead. Jeff has tried hundreds of criminal jury trials in Parker County. He is a go-to resource for all of Parker County law enforcement on a 24/7 basis.
Jeff graduated with cum laude honors from Texas Christian University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science double major in Political Science and Radio-TV-Film. He graduated from law school at the University of Houston with summa cum laude honors in 1994, graduating a semester early and finishing second in his law school class. After passing the Texas bar examination, Jeff became a licensed attorney and began his legal career as an Assistant County Attorney with the Parker County Attorney’s Office in 1995. After two years of handling misdemeanor offenses, in 1997, Jeff moved to the Parker County District Attorney’s Office to prosecute felony offenders such as sexual predators, violent offenders, drug dealers, and habitual drunk drivers.
Jeff met his wife, Julie, a Speech-Language Pathology major, while they were attending TCU. They were married in 1992 at University Christian Church next to the TCU campus. The couple still attend and are members at UCC. They have two boys, Andy and Zach, who grew up attending Weatherford ISD schools and graduated from Weatherford High School in 2014 and 2018, respectively. Andy graduated from Louisiana Tech University last May with an architecture degree and is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in architecture. Zach is a freshman history major at TCU.
Jeff is a lifelong Republican and was a delegate to the 2018 State Convention of the Republican Party of Texas. He was an alternate delegate to the 2016 convention. Jeff regularly attends meetings of the Parker County Republican Party, Parker County Conservatives, and Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford, where his wife, Julie, has served as an officer.
